Art Department
Our highly creative and
experienced art department can reproduce your existing logo or
work with you to completely create an original design to
perfectly fit your company, school, club or event.
We use CorelDraw and Adobe
PhotoShop to create our graphic designs. We also do beautiful
hand illustration. We can work with your rough sketch or
reproduce a full color photograph or painting.
When supplying hard copy
artwork please supply a copy of the outline in black and white
and a second copy indicating color placement.
When supplying digital
artwork, please refer to the requirements listed below.
DIGITAL ARTWORK
REQUIREMENTS (Preferred Programs)
CorelDraw – version 9 or
lower
Adobe Illustrator – version 7 or lower (saved as AI or EPS)
PhotoShop (saved as PSD) for process, or one color jobs only.
Some Microsoft Word files
are acceptable. We cannot use files from PowerPoint, Word
Perfect, QuarkXpress or PageMaker.
CD’s and email attachments
must be formatted for PC.
Vector images must be
saved as .cdr (CorelDraw), .ai (Adobe Illustrator), or .eps
files. These are designs that are to be spot separated or are
one color.
Save vector images with
the correct Pantone spot colors.
Send Photoshop files as .psd
files at 100% size. One color, four color process or simulated
process designs can be saved as .tif or .psd and the resolution
must be at least 300 dpi. These files should be compressed to
send.
Convert all text to
curves, outlines or paths.
Half tones for spot color
need to be 33-40 line. 10% minimum percentage for a tint of a
color. 55 line for four color process.
Please send a color print
out or .jpg file for comparison.
Indicate dimensions for
final size of design.
Desktop publishing clip
art is not suitable for use in screen printing.

NOT FOLLOWED AND HOMESTEAD'S ART STAFF HAS TO RECREATE, ADJUST
OR OTHERWISE DEVELOP YOUR DESIGN, AN ART FEE OF $30 PER HOUR
WILL BE CHARGED.
